Recently some of our club members journeyed by train the" ÄVON LINK "to Northam. A great day of fellowship and shopping, despite the heavy rain as we had lunch together then returned to the Swan Valley.
Our International night was held at our Presidents home in April. The theme for the night was ITALIAN with foods including antipasto, lasagnes, pizzas, and concluded with tiramisu, cassata and coffee. The evening was a great hit, lots of fellowship and laughter as we supported our District International project.
On the 14th November District Chairman June Muller paid her official visit to our club. This was the inaugural "official visit" to Swan Valley by any District Chairman. D.C. June had the honour of inducting another new member into our club. After the meeting during which she told us how to grow in and with Inner Wheel, June joined us for lunch.
This year our club commenced sending Christmas Greeting Cards to clubs in other countries around the world to develop International understanding. Countries included The United Kingdom, Portugal, Macedonia, South Africa, Philippines, Ireland and the Netherlands as we spread our "Friendship around the world".
International Inner Wheel Day in January was celebrated with members from five other District A40 Clubs at a luncheon hosted by the Inner Wheel Club of Whitfords. A very successful and happy day was enjoyed by 42 Inner Wheel members sharing friendship.
